North India is having many world heritage monuments recognized by UNESCO. Our intention is to include all these sites in north India heritage tours. In this itinerary, we have intensified attention to include visit in the most popular places in India such as Delhi, Jaipur, Agra, Khajuraho and Varanasi with a rural India trip in Mandawa and Abhaneri.
DAY 1, ARRIVE DELHI
On arrival, you will be received by our representative and be transferred to your hotel.
Delhi is a national capital region with some world heritage monuments. New Delhi is the capital of India since 1911 when luteeyen and Baker completed their construction. Situated on the banks of river Yamuna, Delhi was always in the center of power. Therefore many invaders had their settlement in Delhi. We will find lots of tomb, forts and mosques in Delhi.
DAY 2, DELHI TO MANDAWA
After early breakfast, you have a guided trip in old Delhi visiting Jama Masjid, a 17th century mosque built by the emperor Sahjahan and rickshaw ride in a narrow street of Chandani Chowk. Later you will visit Rajghat, cremation center of Mahatma Gandhi and a drive pass from India gate to the president house taking photo of the Parliament and government building. You tour will be ended in a 13th century world heritage monument Qutub Minar.
After that, your trip will continue to Mandawa by road. On arrival, you will be transferred to your hotel. Mandawa, a village in Rajasthan, is having some beautiful mural paintings which depict rajasthani way of living focused on women traditional dress and paintings of God Krishna with his beloved Radha, flute and cows.
DAY 3, MANDAWA TO JAIPUR
After breakfast, you have a guided trip in Mandawa visiting some mansions (Havelis) which are having mural paintings. Later you trip will continue to Jaipur by road. On arrival you will be transferred to hotel. Jaipur, popularly known as pink city, was founded by Sawai Raja Jai Singh II in 1727.
In the evening you will have a drive pass of Albert hall and you will witness evening arti celebration in Birla Mandir.
DAY 4, JAIPUR SIGHTSEEING
After breakfast, you will have a guided trip in Jaipur, visiting Amar palace with elephant ride. Later you will have some beautiful picture of Jal Mahal (Water palace or summer palace) and Hawa Mahal (Palace of winds). Afternoon, you will visit Jantar Mantar, an observatory and Maharaja’s city palace museum.
DAY 5, JAIPUR TO ABHANERI TO FATEHPUR SIKRI TO AGRA
After breakfast, your trip will continue to Agra by road, visiting Abhaneri and Fatehpur Sikri. Abhaneri is a village in the state of Rajasthan which contains a 8th and 9th century well, temple and many ruins. Fatehpur Sikri was founded by the great emperor Akbar as his capital but only he governed from here 15 years and later he abandoned the city due to lack of water resources.
On arrival, you will be transferred to your hotel. Agra is a famous city where Sahjahan built a white marble mausoleum in the memory of his beloved wife Mumtaj Mahal.
DAY 6, AGRA TO SIKANDARA TO AGRA
Early morning, you will have a guided trip in Taj Mahal to realize panoramic view of sunshine. After breakfast, you will have a excursion in Sikandara where you will visit Akbar’s tomb. Later you will visit Itmad-Ud-Dullah’s tomb. Your Agra tours will be ended in Agra fort.
DAY 7, AGRA TO JHANSI (BY TRAIN) TO ORCHA TO KHAJURAHO
After early breakfast, you will be transferred to railway station to catch a Shatabdi Exp to Jhansi. On arrival, you will be received by our representative and later you will continue to travel to Khajuraho by road visiting Orcha on the way. On arrival you will be transferred to your hotel.
Orcha was the capital of the king Bundela. Founded by Bir Singh Judeo, the city was develoved by various Bundela king. During the regime of Jehangir, the fortune of the city was culminated when the Mughal emperor Jehangir would like to visit. Now Orcha is a pilgrimage city due to river Betawa. You will have a guided excursion in Orcha visiting Raja Mahal, Jehangir palace and Chaturbhuj temple.
After breakfast, you trip will continue to Khajuraho. Khajuraho, capital of king Chandela, is famous for its erotic temple which depict 75 figures of Kama-Sutra (having sex).
DAY 8, KHAJURAHO TO SATNA TO VARANASI (BY TRAIN)
After breakfast, you will have a guided trip in Khajuraho visiting eastern and western group of temples. Later you will be transferred to Satna by road to catch a train to Varanasi. On arrival you will be transferred to your hotel.
Varanasi, formerly known as Kashi, is the holiest Hindu city in India. Its fame due to river Ganges has received attention of many travelers today. According to Hindu text this city was created by God Shiva.
DAY 9, VARANASI SIGHTSEEING
After breakfast, you will have a guided excursion to Sarnatha where Budha gave his first sermon. Later you will visit Bharat Mata temple, Durga Mata temple and Sankat Mochan temple. You have sufficient time to explore Varanasi market nearby river Ganges. In the evening you will witness arti ceremony on the banks of river Ganges to feel spirituality.
DAY 10, VARANASI TO DELHI (BY TRAIN)
Early morning, you will have boat ride to see panoramic view of sunshine in river Ganges. Later you will visit Kashi Vishwanath temple, a gold covered temple. After breakfast, you will leave your hotel on time to catch a train to Delhi.
DAY 11, ARRIVAL DELHI
On arrival you will be transferred to your final departure.
