DAY 6, MATHERAN TO NASIK
After breakfast you will travel to Nasik by road. On arrival you will be transferred to your hotel. In the Afternoon you will take a city tour covering Sunder Narayan Temple, Sita Gupta Caves and Trimbak.
DAY 7, NASIK TO SHIRDI
After breakfast you will travel to Shirdi by road. On arrival you will be transferred to your hotel. Later you will visit the famous Sai Baba temple.
DAY 8, SHIRDI TO AURANGABAD
After breakfast you will travel to Aurangabad by road. On arrival you will be transferred to your hotel. Aurangabad is having the most elaborated caves in India. There are 34 caves in total. Among them 12 are Buddhist caves of Ad 600-800 which depict Jataka, story over Buddha’s life and 17 are Hindu caves around AD 900 which depicts Hindu God Shiva.
This day you will visit Daulatabad Fort, Bibi ka Maqbara which is the tomb of Begum Rabia Durani, wife of Emperor Aurangzeb. This tomb is a replica of the Taj Mahal. Later you will visit Panchakki, a water mill, famous for its underground water channel traversing more than 8 km to its source away in the mountains.
DAY 9, AURANGABAD SIGHTSEEN
After breakfast you will have excursion to Ajanta and Elora.
Elora is a UNESCO world heritage site which houses 34 monasteries and temples dated back from 600 to 1000 AD. The temples at Ellora are dedicated to Hindu, Jain, and Buddha. The architectural marvel of the monolithic Kailasa Temple is magnificent and peculiar. The Buddhist Vishvakarma Chaitya and Vihara, Yakshi statue and ceiling paintings are also notable.
Ajanta is also recognized as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO which was discovered by a group of British officers during the 19th century while hunting a tiger. The caves depict Jataka, the story of Buddhism during 200 BC to 650 AD. The 800 years old Jataka mural paintings is narrating the story of Buddha in his cycle of incarnations as well as having a painted record of the panorama of life in ancient India.
DAY 10, AURANGABAD TO PUNE
After breakfast you will travel to Pune by road. On arrival you will be transferred to your hotel.
DAY 11, PUNE SIGHTSEEN
After breakfast you will visit Raja Kelkar Museum, Saras Bagh, Kasturba Smarak (Inside Agha Khan Palace) and Shaniwarwada.
DAY 12, PUNE TO MUMBAI
